This Privacy Policy explains how CrowdPop (“CrowdPop”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the CrowdPop mobile app and related services (the “Service”).
Account information. When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive a stable user identifier from Apple and, if you choose to share them, your name and a relay email address. We also store the handle and display name you set in the app.
Content you create. Video clips you record or upload, captions, comments, likes, follows, and blocks.
Device & usage data. Basic technical information needed to operate the Service: device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and high-level interaction events (e.g., clip viewed, clip posted). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Camera, microphone & photo library. With your explicit permission (iOS system prompts), we access the camera and microphone to record clips and the photo library to import or save clips. These permissions are used only for the action you trigger; we never access them in the background.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party ads.
We retain your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account from Settings → Delete account, we permanently remove your profile, clips, comments, likes, follows, and blocks from active systems. Backups are rotated and purged on a rolling 30-day cycle. We may retain limited data longer where required by law or for fraud/abuse prevention.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email privacy@crowdpop.app to exercise these rights.
CrowdPop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email privacy@crowdpop.app and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, restricted access controls) to protect your information. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
CrowdPop is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
